Rivals
David Tennant will star in the series called Rivals which is based on the Jilly Cooper novel of the same name. The book part of The Rutshire Chronicles series.

David plays the role of Tony Baddingham who is the controller of the independent television franchise Corinium Television.

Filming started in March 2023. The project was announced by Disney+ last year and is set in the 1980s. The series is described as 'set in the fictional upper-class county of Rutshire focusing on a long standing rivalry between two powerful men that is about to boil over.'

Danny Dyer (who played Mick Carter in EastEnders) plays the role of Freddie Jones. The series also stars Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner and Claire Rushbrook.

The lead director is BAFTA nominated Elliot Hegarty (Ted Lasso, Cheaters and Trying) who also serves as executive producer on the first three episodes. Eliza Mellor (The Midwich Cuckoos, Behind Her Eyes and Poldark) is series producer. The series is written by Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Laura Wade.

Good Omens
David Tennant and Micheal Sheen star in the adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's comedy Good Omens. The first series was released first on Amazon Prime on Friday 31st May 2019 and BBC Two started broadcasting it on Wednesday 15th January 2020.

The six part television series was set in 2018 on the brink of an apocalypse as humanity prepares for a final judgement. But a somewhat fussy angel called Aziraphale (played by Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant's character who is a demon) aren't enthusiastic about the end of the world and can't seem to find the Antichrist.

Neil Gaiman adapted all six episodes of the series and served as showrunner.

Good Omens was Neil Gaiman's first novel and was written in collaboration with Terry Pratchett.

Good Omens Series Two premiered on Prime Video on Friday 28th July 2023 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The second series was announced in June 2021. Filming started on Monday 18th October 2021 and was scheduled for 18 weeks until Friday 11th March 2022 (with a three week hiatus for Christmas and New Year). However the final day of filming was Tuesday 1st March 2022. The production was based in Bathgate and filming took place in locations in the Central Belt of Scotland.

A third and final series was announced in 2023 with an expected filming start date of January 2025.
